Ever since I was in middle school, I have been a huge fan of quotes – happy, sad, inspirational, educational, wise – sometimes a combination of a few. You name it, I dug it.
There’s just something about the power of words that connects my mind and spirit in a way that fills my heart and invokes powerful emotion, that always seems to come at a time when my soul most needs it. I still have my 8,789 Words of Wisdom book I got when I was a junior in high school, and used to make a collage of photographs and quotes for my close friends at graduation.
When I was an elementary school teacher and now currently as a yoga teacher, I give my students a quote of the day to ponder on the topic we are discussing and ask what it means to them. I think the beauty of inspirational quotes is that they mean a little something different to everyone, based on people’s unique and individual experiences and mindsets.
I have quotes hanging in frames and on sticky notes all around my home (well, not literally all around, but you get the point.) Quotes are kind of my thing.
Since spending time in nature is my favorite form of self care, I thought I would just share a few of my most favorite quotes about the healing power and beauty in nature.
I hope you find some of these to really resonate with you, refresh your soul, and take them with you for years to come!
